Dallas visit 1st week of May

I'm coming to the big D the 1st week of May on a business trip. I've never been to Texas. I'll be staying close to Love Field.

I'm looking for something to do Sunday May 1st and possibly a couple of evenings through the week (after around 6PM). Any woodworking related suggestions would be welcome. I'm a beginner so anything will do.
