Nova DVR remote clarification

Well I called and got clarification from the Nova service center folks. I had read a post months ago that if the letter"S" was present in your software version you only needed the remote and not the retro fit kit. Service center says that unless the "remote ready" sticker is on your lathe you must have the kit. Rats! My cost went from $99 to $180 now. Don't know if I'm willing to go that much even after waiting 2 years for the option?! Guess I don't have much choice. I had been playing around trying to make a longer cable so I could mount my controller at the tailstock end but never did get continuity in the cable I made. Decisions decisions??

Yup, I remember having read that too. I'm in the same boat and it's kind of a bummer.

Have they started shipping the remote yet?

I made an extension that works well, but I would prefer the wireless remote.

I will buy one. Really it is not a bad price for what you get. Spending cash is always hard.
