Really, I just wanted to get a good look at thickness consistency:eek::D

Looks pretty consistent to me! Now you going to put it back together??

What a shame, though the walls are consistent. I had a piece of cherry do that to me the other night. Cracked on both sides while I was turning it. Did give me a reason to crack it open and check out the consistency.

I'd glue a chunk in between and call it segmented!!

Walls sure look even. I have a few of those around although no prior planning for the half and half. :o

That looks like two HF's for Keller (giant holes in the sides of the blanks)! I recently cut too thin into a small HF and it got cut in half to see whats happening as I was hollowing. As much as no one would want to sacrifice a good HF... having a cut away to study IS very helpful.

Glue 'em to a board and call it "wall art"!!! A catchy title would be a plus.

UHHH we have gauges for checking wall thickness.:DI say glue it back together, chuck it up and sand it smooth. All is not lost.

And this is the reason that I use defective blanks to begin with...

There's a chunk about the size of a penny gone, not worth the effort to repair. JK's idea is kinda interesting though, "the board of shame"?:D

Have a belt or disc sander? That bigger half looks like it has the potential for a half hull to me! They can go for a tidy sum.:)

Wall sconces??
