Good Morning Everyone,
Well, the MIL has been taken back home after her stay with us for 2 weeks. The LOML had to take her home this time because of my work schedule. The LOML also had to stop by and check on my mother because of some medical issues and now the LOML and my youngest son are now on their way back home. It will be good to have them home again.

I've taken on the task of redoing the top of an old popup camper for our local motorcycle group. The old one was particle board that had a thin metal sheet over it and painted & caulked 2x4's hold down the edges. It rotted and leaked. I don't know if any of you have every done anything like this, but I'd like to be able to replace all that with some aluminum sheeting or something like that so this can be done well and no wood to rot. I'd appreciate any suggestions, experiences, and how-to's that you could possibly offer me.

Been getting ready for Christmas and I did figure out that the veneer top to that old sewing basket is held down with yellow glue. So I'm assuming that some applied heat and a little coaching and it will come right off so I can fix it right?

Well, that's it for me, so what did YOU do this past weekend?

Stay warm and best of weeks to you all.

I spent my weekend with spending money I don't really have (Christmas Shopping) and fixing things around the house...

On Wednesday last week, the dryer broke (thermal fuse) so I cleaned out the vent to make sure no obstruction, it was good, and replaced the fuse this weekend.

On Thursday my front storm door handle simply fell apart in my wifes hand. So off to Home Depot to get a replacement. Installed it yesterday, and realized just how bad condition the paint on the storm door was. Looks like another project coming up!

I've got the shop MOSTLY cleaned up. and an idea for a new project. My desk drawer at work is a disaster, I am seriously considering building a drawer divider for it... That should help me keep my office supplies, and various tiny bits of tech such as ethernet cable ends and heat sink paste tubes organized...

God willing, I will be able to get some shop time in this week... I have a few projects to finish up before Christmas..

I decided to get my workbench top sliced in half and stacked on some saw horses so I can use it to build some shop cabinets and the rest of the bench. It was at this point that I realized that neither my Festool or PSI Track saws were in the shop. A little snooping around dound the rails for each of them in the extreme back corners of the POD where most of my shop stuff is still stored. It was a little cold and looked like rain was imminent, so I postponed digging that equipment out and filled old leftover cans of paint with cat litter to get them ready for disposal (per the land fill ladies instructions).

The biggest accomplishment is that I got the dining table delivered my parents on Sunday. A friend was using my spray room so in between coats he helped me get my new air cleaner hung and helped me run the wire for a small sub-panel in the back of my shop that allowed me to get my BS rewired back to 220 on a circuit big enough that it won't trip the breaker when resawing. I had the big enough #8 wire for the subpanel and am pretty much out of spaces in my main panel so this was a cost-effective way to power the band saw and allow for a few future circuits. I also got the shop pretty much all picked up.

We moved this weekend. I had to move all the house stuff and the shop in one day. The good news is that I'm going from a small (<300 sq. ft.) basement shop to a new 30' x 48' outbuilding! No I just have to decide how and where to set up the pile of tools in that new building.

I cheated, I took the whole week off. I assembled/top coated/fastened faces to 12 drawers, applied hinges & hung 35 doors, and fastened 7 raise panel end caps. Most rewarding part of the kitchen remodel so far:
