I turn this plate from the other half of the crotch section. It's 6-1/8" diameter and 3/4" high with some feather grain running through it. Sanded to 400 grit, finished with Antique oil and rubbed out with a 4000 grit Abralon pad. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking.

Rob, the feather figure in this one is fantastic!! Nice piece, and you are on a roll!

Nice work Rob. I picked up a few pieces of beech from a tree guy last spring and roughed out a couple crotch pieces then anchorsealed them. Doubt they will look this good when I get around to returning them.

I have never been a big fan of beech but this plate and the bowl in the other post makes me want to give it a try. Great plate, bowl and wood!!
