I have "inherited" through an older gentleman a bunch of abrasives in sacks that are unlabelled. Most are gray to white powders. I can tell the difference in some of them, but not most. Would a .0001 micrometer or a simple 30x pocket magnifier help to identify the particle size?
Also, is anyone aware of a chart that would show grit sizes in loose abrasive powders?
The only one marked is "volcanic powder" which will be pumic. I'm sure there is rottenstone in the lot and probably several grits.
