My God! It's still clean! The plug and cord are just laying there lifelessly in the floor! I can't look at it anymore!

Congrats Jim, I missed your "Merry Christmas to Me" post. You will love it. I have the 2hp version and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Jim - Congrats. You will like it. I have the 1642 1 1/2 hp - it is what I started with so I may never have to replace it.

Thanks everyone!! Knocked out a 12" bowl today. Not post worthy but is sure was fun!! I have always wanted to do cheese and cracker platters. Bernie does a lot of these and they are great! As soon as I can find out what size plank to get...I'm on it! My 1014 looks so lonely sitting there so it's pens tomorrow! Lots of bowl work to do because I think I've forgotten how! Baxter, if you find yourself on this coast...I'm a heck of a cook!

Jim, looks like you will have a great holiday putting that new machine to good use. Great lathe and I'm sure we'll see some great turnings come of it.
