I am in need for a good price source for 6" flexible ducting for DC. I can not believe the prices people are asking for this stuff $4-$5 per foot and up. I just bought 140ft of 26 gauge spiral pipe for $200. I need like 15-25 feet of flexible pipe and it is nearly the same price or at more than half.

Anyway, any sources would be much appreciated.

PS it does not need to be clear just needs to be able to handle the DC load. Heck it could be purple and yellow for all I care.

A few have had success buying the fiberglass reinforced flexible exhaust vent pipe by the name of Thermaflex. There is a Vendor on EBAY (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3186&item=2318547479) who often sells this duct used for greenhouse and aquaculture supplies. This is a picture and ad for the 8". It is a little light, but ample for most systems.

I prefer the Oneida-Air and use that myself.

Also, Amazon does carry the Jet 6" hose and fittings, but you have to search for Jet first to find it.

I was told that HomeDepot can order this Thermaflex pipe. Here are a few vendors that do carry it:

Hope this helps.

I second Bill's motion on the flex from Oneida. Quality is important for this element of your DC system. It's not just a matter of wear...how it's constructed will affect the performance of your system. Even if you are able to reduce the amount of flex you use to the absolute minimum, it's still going to have drag on the air flow. There is an advantage to clear flex in that you can visually see the air flow you have at the drop--if it noticeably slows down you know you have a problem, like something stuck, somewhere.
