I have noticed my 52 " Biesemeyer fence table has a sag in the middle. It's down about 1/8" in the middle. I have loosed all the screws along the rail and even drilled a couple new holes. I could build another one or get one on Amazon/CPO for about $270.0 which seems high.
My Delta Unisaw is about 5 years old so I'm not sure if others have had a similar problem.

My sawstop's was the same. Rather than deal with the hassle of return/etc I took it to a machine shop here in Dallas. They charged me $50 and 15 minutes of my time. When he gave it back to me you could use it as a $200 straight edge on both sides. Only down side was I swear the thing leaked cutting oil for a week.

I think he's talking about the particle board top?

Make your own. A piece of MDF, some ugly hardwood, a damaged piece of laminate from the BORG that you ask the manager to mark down and a couple hours and you'll much better top. If you want to get fancy laminate both sides. Or make a butcher block one for a spare workbench like the Powermatic/Jet.

It's a very common problem with those. You can brace it or replace it.

Make a new one. Use the old one as a template. You can double up the table with plywood for the bottom and MDF for the top to attach the laminate to. Plywood won't sag. A few cross braces help also.

How about this? It is $52 at the moment. It will change though. Sears likes to move there prices up and down. Especially this time of year.

52 bucks for a piece of 4 x 8 MDF? Its about 32 at the Depot. You still need to add fomica if you choose and put sides on it to support it.

The Craftsman top is good it you have the benches to go with it since you drop the top into the bench to support it.

It is 1-1/2" thick! I don't really know if that is a good price. Kind of just assumed. Where can I buy MDF like that? Google turns up nothing. I have been thinking of making a new router table extension. My bench dog is not flat and I hate it.

Op. Sorry. I didn't mean to hijack your thread.

Glue 2 sheets together. But $20 for that already done doesn't seem bad at all.
