A couple birdhouses on sticks

My wife wanted a couple of these to give as Christmas gifts so.......

The tall one is about 12". The dark rings on the right one are from trying to sand while the lathe was going to fast. But I kind of liked how they looked so I left them.

Oh, I really like those Curt! I don't think of seen any before with the natural edge on the roof. Very cool. I keep meaning to try some bird houses, but they're in line with all the other "I want to try" things.

Now thats pretty cool, yea... the natural edge roof really puts it over the top; the base, pole and house all look "sized" just right.
Not a big fan of the whole birdhouse thing, but these and the ones that Bernie guy did, with the shingle roof are really eye catching.

Curt, one would never guess the "rings" were unintended - perfectly the right touch. Well done!!! The one on the right is my pick! I like the slight roundness to it, the dark lines, and the pedestal.
