My dad isn't able to be in the shop anymore. He was never a great wood worker but has been a life long enthusiast. He's not able to do anything he was once able to handle, but I thought a "coffee table" book with a tool or woodworking theme might be something he could enjoy flipping through. The way things are currently, it would be almost a new experience every time he opened it. Anyone know of any books that might fit this bill?

How about the Lee Valley catalog. They usually have a great cover and lots of neat tools to look at.

500 chairs is a nice book. I was thrilled to get it for christmas one year.

The Shop Notes compilations are great as well since they have so many different projects in them. It is a great way to inspire new ideas as well.
