I'm in the process of building a photo box. It will be around 44" wide and deep by 36" tall. I'm going to try clip reflector lights, one on each side and one on top. I'd like opinions on what fabric seems to work best for difusing the light sources. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Roland, I use a window shade for the back drop and white 1/8" thick poster board for the sides top and bottom.
Here is a pic of Jamie Donaldson's setup. I use one about the same. If you want his pdf on how to make one It's here:

Try rip stop nylon. *It is cheap, and available at nearly all fabric stores. *It comes in 46" and 58" bolts.

I bought a $5.00 white twin bed sheet at Wal-Mart. It works pretty good. I just stretched it across the wooden frame I built and stapled it in place.

I hope this doesn't violate any rules, but I just found this and for what you get all assembled in one place & ready to go, seems like a hot setup. By the time you rounded up all the pieces, I would imagine you would spend about as much.

Before my tent, I used pieces of white foam board insulation from Lowe's as a diffuser..worked good. Those cheap white foam ice chests also make a great tent/diffuser for smaller objects.

Hit amazon and search for cowboy studio or direct http://www.cowboystudio.com/ Hard to beat for smaller items. Ive used everything from $1500 skrims to bedsheets bought nearby the location we were shooting at.
