I went by to see a friend yesterday and he gave me some Ambrosia Maple logs. The smallest was 24". I did not take pictures of the whole logs but here are a couple of one piece on the new lathe. I got 4 pieces in the back of the truck and that was all that would fit. My daughter took the photos, and I think she took about 40. I will be returning to the friends for more of this. He has a yard that he uses to store trees from a local tree company and he is setting all the logs that I want off to the side for me. I will be taking him a nice bowl today.;) Enjoy and comments are welcome.

Todd I think it is named correctly. Didn't think it was that noticeable. Good eye. This is the 3rdsame bowl of this size that I have roughed on this lathe. This one started at 250the rim's, and just has gotten up to 400. I think that is fast enough.
