A couple years ago I attended a craft show in Richmond, Va and spoke with a very talented woodworker there from Pa. who built reproductions of a "Clark" spool thread chest. He got the plans from purchasing an antique. He also stated there is another crafter in Pa. who makes the plastic drawer inserts for his chests. Unfortunately I did not get his name or card. SWMBO is an excellent seamtress and I have been looking for plans for a thread chest for her sewing room. I did find an antique, but don't particularly want to pay $1,500 for it to obtain plans for a modified reproduction. I know this is a long shot, but any help would be appreciated. Bill Sampson

Don’t know of plans, but if this is the same cabinet you’re looking at here’s one a little cheaper:

2512. Furniture. Clark’s Thread Cabinet. Two drawer. Oak. Circa 1880. (6’x15’x20’). Extremely Fine. Est. $50-150

Also, there’s a listing and picture here:

Good luck finding the plans.
