What Do You Think Of My Solution?

Recently I posted a picture of this Box Elder HF asking for any advise on a top. As I mentioned I had been agonizing for two weeks on what to do. I was walking through Michaels the other day and a bundle of Chinese bamboo branches caught my eye. "Yep, that might do it". After making a dozen tops and rejecting all of them...........I like this one!!!:D:D. The bamboo matches the BE and the dyed ball and cap fits nicely with the color in the Box Elder. I think it ties the whole piece together.

PS - the top is not glued on yet just in case one of you artistic brainiacs come up with a better solution:eek::D.

PPS - thank you much for the wood Paul. #2 is in the works. Hopefully it won't take 2 weeks to figure out what to do for a top. In fact, I have a dozen tops that are possibilites after this piece.214330

I am glad you like it Dick.............if it were me I would have just done the lid and knob like you have here and it would have been a go for me............each of us has his/her personal tastes...................nice work on this form!
