Another eventful year is winding down and the Holiday Season is rapidly approaching! While we all share the love of woodturning, it is understood that we are a diverse group and have many different ways of celebrating at this time of year. I am extremely thankful for many things but especially for my loving family and all my friends here on the Creek!

I have a tradition, over the last few years, of decorating my lathe. I figure if it brings one smile to someone’s face – it was worth the effort! :D:D:D

So, in keeping with the spirit of this newly arrived Holiday Season ……. from my shop to yours …..

Have a wonderful - and safe - Holiday Season!

Steve, I will have to admit - the black background certainly adds an element of class to your display. Just think what a bit of holly and spruce would do to really put the finishing touches on it!!;)

Hope you have a great one!!

Happy Holidays to everyone. I agree with Bill and think that your lights might create a bit of excitement if you try and turn anything with them on the lathe.:D
Turn safe everyone,
Jack

Steve...does this mean you won't be turning anything until after Christmas ??The lights do look good. Kinda reminds me of a bar I was in way up north. LOL

And you probably turn in loose clothing, a glove, no face shield, with all sorts of distractions, too, don't you? Geesh...those wires are SO not safe, Steve. Unless they are grounded, of course, then it's okay...:D

Happy Holidays.

Thanks for all the seasons greetings!!!

John, in answer to your question about if the lights mean I am not turning until the holidays are over... this just came off the lathe today! :D

This is the White Birch Trunk that I posted a couple of days ago. Measures 14.5" high x 11" diameter and was hollowed to 1.25" thickness. It is presently soaking in DNA and I hope to be able to finish turn it some time this coming spring!

Happy Holidays Steve to you and yours. Happy Holidays to all of SMC. I just remembered and still can't believe I have been retired already two yrs. this month. Also hard to believe it is Christmas again as this year has flown by. Guess the old saying time flys when your having fun is true.
