I really like the grain swirl in the last picture.

Beautiful wood! Both are nice, but I like the slimmer one better.

Very nice work on both of these! Pretty wood and I really like the form on the HF on far right. Something about the foot being just slightly smaller than enhances the form... in my eyes.

Steve,

I agree. The size of the foot has been THE hardest thing about HF's for me (not that I've got this down pat). Either too small or too big. Hard to get one "just right".........

Plus, the CFO likes the bigger foot, so I catch a lot of flak there. But, she sells them for me, so she must be right, eh? ;)

Pretty wood and some nice shapes Richard! Have to say the second is my favorite as well. A little more sleek!

Good stuff! I'm kinda partial to the smaller foot, but I wouldn't argue with the head of your sales department! I'd be tempted to try a collar on a future form just to see if you like the look... Of course that leads to finial turning, and then you've got another subvortex to deal with!
