Gerd created this little beauty. Dovetailed body and Brazilian Rosewood. It's the first of his planes with adjustable mouth. The adjustment works similar to the one of Ulmia or ECE bench planes. After the top screw is opened, the mouth will be adjusted with the front screw.

The length of the plane is about 5-1/2", the blade is 1-3/8" wide. It's weight is 820 grams.

I like the shape of the palm rest which looks to be rather comfortable. And since the plane is comong from Gerd I bet that it is top quality.

Thanks for looking.

Klaus,

Thanks for sharing these photos. I like the detail of the mouth adjustment screw seated in the brass insert - lots of fine work there.

I'm thinking the links are broken. Maybe Klaus will redo them....
I hope, one can't get enough eye candy.

I was seeing it, now I'm not. Going to the address of the image, it autoforwards to a page titled "supsend.txt". I went to the root directory of the page it was linking, and I get an error message (in German) from the hosting company of whomever's page it was - it looks like they've exceeded their bandwidth. From Google, it looks like these photos have been posted to at least a couple of forums. That can kill your traffic limits if they're set low, and if they meter by the month, it is getting close.

Any chance you've got the photos and can post them directly to SMC rather than linking, Klaus?

Sorry, the server I've used for posting the pics died obviously. Here they are again.

I would like to see the lever cap detail a little better. Not quite understanding how it works, but then again I have zero plane making experience. The plane is beautiful. Just the other day I was thinking I wanted to check out an infill block plane, low and behold one gets posted on this site the next day. Good stuff Klaus, thanks for spreading the craftsmanship of others that some of us would never see.
