Lasering mini football

Has anyone had experience lasering "synthetic leather" I have no idea how to find out if this is safe.

Check out this link on synthetic leather. It may help. Did you call the supplier? Sometimes just calling customer service and give you tons of info. Worth a try right?

BTW-- how would you laser engrave such an odd sized product like that football.
