I posted this in process in another thread. Mike came up with the name.

I think you could name this many times over...each side gives it a different view. But my name choice is the Cyclopse Cat...after the third photo. :D

Ed, very well done!! I like the curvature on this one and the colors are great. Cropped pics might provide a little closer view - just a thought. I like where you are going with this style - you need to bring one with you when you visit!!

Pretty nice piece Ed. I like this shape and your proportions seem to be all in line. My only, very little, nit pick is that the piece on top of the finial should be dyed or stained to match the color of the HF. As is, I am a little bit distracted by the stark contrast of that last little bead on top.

Keep 'em coming!

John,
I cropped the images.

Scott,
I agree about the top of the finial. It will get toned down. Thanks.

Much better pics, Ed! Looks great, though I do agree with Scott on the finial tip.

Great design. It all fits together very well, the finial tip does stand out but I am not sure if that is a problem.

I like the forms of the last couple you have done Ed. Kind of reminds me of a brandy snifter with a cool lid.:) I would far prefer a cold one but there is not much style in those unless you reach for a long neck.;)

Very nice, all the parts work well with each other, though I agree with toning down the tip.

Hehe, you actually did use the name, didn't you. :D I really like the piece. Have to agree with others about the cat's "hat". Maybe red and white striped would have worked better? ;)

Nicely done, Ed! Nice photo, too! I'm stuck looking at these on my phone, so I can't make out the tip very well, but I like the idea a lot!

Wow, I really love this piece - both the spectacular wood and the form are excellent. I am not personally a fan of the cap and finial. It just doesn't seem to flow for me but it is also done very well; perhaps on a different piece - FWIW.
