Hello all, is there a trick to copying or importing a file from a pdf into Corel X3 without distortion?
I know some simple single color logos I can copy/paste then trace with x3, but when it comes to multi color picture logos it's game over. It looks like it converts to a bitmap and therefore is not "clean".
I can email the file if you would like, but I think it's too large on here. Send me a pm if you need to see it.
Thanks, Patrick

The older versions of Corel had 2 import filters for pdf's and the default would read them in as rasters. If I remember correctly the one you are looking for is interpeted pdf. It could also be that it was a bitmap saved as a pdf, in that case you are sol & they need to give you a vector

Remember that PDF files can contain bitmaps (as well as vector drawings).

Corel X3 manages proper vector PDFs with no trouble. So well in fact, that I specifically ask for files to be sent as PDFs.

Thanks for the input. Looks like the ones I have problems with then are in fact bitmaps
