This is a small urn for 18 lbs and under pet. Urn is Maple and finial is Walnut. Finial has nice chatoyance. Dyed Maple has a French Polish, reddish colored Paraffin Wax Finish. Finial has French Polish and Paraffin Wax Finish.  Size is 4 1/4 x 13 1/4. Thanks for taking a look.

Looks classy, very fitting.

I have to ask, how do you size something like this ("small urn for 18 lbs and under pet") ?

I like that color. Is the lid threaded.

Seems that the standard is 1 cubic inch per pound. That seems a bit under sized to me so I usually add another 1/3- 1/2. So, when the urn is completed, I fill it with saw dust then dump the saw dust into a measuring cup. This one held a little over 2 cups which equals 28 and then some cubic inches. I've never had anyone come back and tell me the urn was too small for their pet. Not particularly scientific, but it works for me.

No, it is a slight tapered fit, it fits pretty tight so it can be glued once remains are in the vessel.

Dan, I think this is really a nice piece. While for an art piece, one might think the finial is a bit large/heavy, in this instance it really flows well with the piece and works! I like it!

Very nice. I always see these pet urns threaded and wondered why one would want them threaded, once they are sealed why would you want them opened. Carl

Nice design and color Dan! I can see how these would be very popular!
