All the above are excellent and explain hand tool use and design with many very clear illustrations.
They also explain the why. Advantages or disadvantages of certain designs or techniques.
I also like the book Working Drawings of Colonial Furniture by Bryant c1922 (52 pages)
Short, but crammed full of good info.
