Pen and Box

I took part in a PITH on another forum I belong to and this is what I made for the name I was given. Since he was from Texas, I felt it was on natural to send him something showcasing Texas. The pen was tured from mesquite with turquoise inlace and I made an oak flip box with a Texas pin inlay to display it in. And since I am from Louisiana, I sent him some pen blanks from our state tree, Magnolia.

Its always fun to take part in these PITH's, you never know what you are going to get and you get a chance to connect with some very nice fellow turners.
