Multi-Mat Use

Does anyone know if using a Multi-mat type product while cutting is OK - i.e. is it self healing or will cutting materials damage the Multi-Mat?

Anyone have a reasonable priced source for that type of product (it seems too expensive to me)?

Me too! I'm sure the only reason it's so high is because there isn't much demand for it and there are limited sources to buy it. I mean really, it's just sticky rubber!

Shops selling aids for old and disabled people sell sticky mat material (to stop plates skidding around on tables etc.).
I can't remember the name, but it comes on a roll about 4 ft long by 18 inches and is very cheap compared to the stuff the engraver companies sell.
Works well. Wash when it starts to loose its stickyness.
