Has anybody seen or purchased this set from Sears? They don't give a full description of them, but appear to be a good price.

Worth the plunge?

thanks ... jim

Thinking of trying hollowing and I would also like to know opinions on these or comparable sets.

OK I'll give this a shot. For 70 bucks, that seems like a deal, however, they don't say what size they are. They make full sized, midi and mini sets. If it's the mini set, that's not that great a deal. I have a full sized hollowing bar and the full sized hollowmaster. I would say that they don't work as well as other products out there. If you want to try, it's fairly cheap, but there are better products out there if you're serious.
Oh my full sized hollow bar is about 24", so that may be the midi set. Hard to say, my set is really old. Don't think they make it anymore. I just measured my bar, since I'm trying to find a tool box for it.

Just my $0.02.

" Includes 14 in. medium and 20 in. large hollowing tools, and 3/8 in. diameter probe."

For anything large with Sorby on it, that's a good price. The rest of the Sorby stuff Sears carries has the typical high price on them.
