For veneer check Certainly Wood if you haven't already.

I buy holly veneer from Certainly Wood and it's not that expensive, as I recall.

For Holly Wood you'll have to come out here to LA. You'll know it when you see the sign on the hill :)

A&M Hardwoods in Ontario has it listed at $19.30 for 1" ..

I was at A&M one time.. Pretty cool old building jammed with exotic hardwoods, pallets of Ebony shorts and a bunch of waterfall bubinga slabs over 50" wide..

I bet they will have the Holly.

Not sure how shipping across the border works with hardwood, but they would know ..

Richard,
there were some nice looking 4/4 slabs of Holly at the Canton Woodcraft two weeks ago.

The word on the street over in Malcolm Tibbet's forum (Segemented Woodturners) is DomEx Hardwoods for holly. Even Malcolm posted that the quality is as good as any he's ever seen. I see they also offer holly veneer.

Here (http://www.ebay.com/itm/197-4-4-AMERICAN-HOLLY-/140577451977?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20bb11afc9) is some Holly lumber. There is currently a discussion about this seller on woodnet. He seems universally praised.
