Got a box in the mail yesterday with a bunch of turning videos. I started watching the Del Stubbs, Bowl Turning. Great look at bowl turning a few years ago. Good demonstrator also. Wonder what happen to him?

Josh, seems like I read that he had drifted out of woodturning and was doing mostly carved work now, but I have no verification of that.

Just took a look on line, and there is a knifemaker named Del Stubbs, and that may be the same fellow - http://pinewoodforge.com/

That indeed is the renowned turner, carver and knife making Del Stubbs :)

I don't think he does much if any turning as of late. I understood he was making knives.

That's true Bernie,

Del moved on to carving spoons and that led to making knives.

Best darned knives around. I am eagerly awaiting my next curved blade from him. Not sure exactly what happened but he had some sort of hand injury (in March I think). That put him pretty far behind on getting blades out the door. He is fine now, playing catch-up and a delight to deal with. He is not as fast as the supply houses like Craft Supplies or Lee Valley but I highly recommend his work.
