I made these 6 pepper mills and 2 salt shakers for Christmas gifts.
Two of the mills are oak and everything else is cherry. These mills are the 6" size as the 10" I have made seem to be in the way and get knocked over often. Again I used several coats of CA for the finish and buffed with the Beall buffing system. Thanks for looking.

Nice mills! My son keeps hinting at making a set for him. I have some spalted blanks to use but I am going to give them one more year in the attic of my garage to dry before I give them a shot. Were yours kiln dried stock?

Great batch of mills, Sid!! My favorite is the left rear, as well, but all are very nice. Christmas this year will be special!

Thanks for all the nice comments. Still have several gifts to make other than mills and shakers.

All these were made from old stock. The oak was from porch posts on a house built in 1950 and the cherry is over 40 years old. I really enjoy getting wood that has been recovered from other projects. Giving old wood new life is great.
