View Full Version : Per Kathy's Tutorial.......

I had a little time and a hunk of dry cherry, so I thought I'd give a box a try. I figured Kathy was kind enough to provide a detailed tutorial, so why not! It's 2 1/2" x 5" and has one coat of AO. Other than having a brain cramp and dinging up the rim of the base, the lid ended up fitting nice & tight and overall acceptable enough to hide in one of my shop drawers. Thanks Kathy, I needed a little push to finally turn a box.

Congrats on another first Roland. Looks pretty nice from here. I like the grooves.

Looks good! A few of those would work great for drill chucks, spur chucks, and the like....

Nice job Roland. I love turning cherry - one of my favorite woods. You did an excellent job of keeping the grain lined up. Let's see some more!
