Well as i posted these else where i thought i'd post here also. the maple and walnut with the burning was done for my ex-DIL's mother. It has already left the house and was well recived. The other two will go to Pa with two others that i'm working on now.The kettle is for my sister and the other is for my aunt Barb. The two that are drying in bags will go to my mom and a different aunt. Thanks and all C&C welcome.

Steve, the "teapot" thing has always intrigued me, and these are very well done examples! Great wood, excellent alignment of the various elements, and some neat styling. For form, I particularly like the second one - with the lighter color handle/spout. The character of the others is very nice, as well.

ok, I will show my ignorance. Do you put hot water in those? Or are they simply there to be interesting and beautiful, which is excuse enough.

BTW, I agree with John, the second one is really special, but all are interesting.

I second terry's question/ignorance.

Beautiful pieces though, very impressive.

Steve, there's a sort of cult-like following for unique teapot designs and contests to go with them. There's an annual affair for teapots in Portland Oregon that's in it's eighth year and I'm sure elsewhere, too. Of course you can't use them for much except to hold tea bags, but they're certainly a conversation-starter. Nice work. I especially like the angular design with the spalted maple.
