I recently got invited to submit some turnings to a juried exhibit at a small local gallery, Gallery 5, in Lewiston. Although it's a small venue, for a first, I'll take it. The photo is of the opening reception held Saturday evening, just to prove it did happen:D. This gallery opened 3 years ago and has done quite well in the short time and features only Maine artists of a wide spectrum of median. I wasn't really ready for this, but got prodded into giving it a shot. I just didn't feel the turnings I had were very great, but they went anyway:). Not really expecting any red dots.212230

very nice Roland, i really like the platter, saw Mike Mahoney give rotation on heirlooms this weekend, he chose a platter to accent his talk

The small bowl with in-curved top is one of my favorite shapes, and I like the "sundae" as well. Hope you get some dots!

Congrats Roland. I hope this leads to bigger and better things. I do like the lidded vase and the platter.
