Last week I received a big slab of green Cherry from Richard Jones and yesterday I mounted it up and turned a big cherry bowl!
I had forgotten how nice green cherry is to turn!
The bowl is 11" x 2 1/2" and just has a coat of Walnut oil. The pics show it just a tiny bit darker than it really is.
Thanks again Richard!

Great looking bowl. I made a few Christmas ornaments out of some green cherry this week and had to be careful to stop myself from turning them down to nothing it cut so smoothly.
I think a wide, shallow bowl like that goes well with a smooth and sleek foot...very nice.

Good looking bowl and cherry. Such a pleasure to turn for sure.

It's like a Marilyn Monroe bowl. You know, really pretty and with a beauty mark!

Kathy I'm a fan of yours and love the bowls you do. I use a lot of cherry and turn it in stages to keep it round sometimes three stages. I wonder how much do they twist and warp after you turn them that thin. Those cherry bowls are great and I would like to see them a couple months down the road. BTW I always check your threads.
