I thought I'd post some photos of the progress on a miniature rabbet plane I'm working on...

Body measures 6" long by 3/8" wide and made of beech, the corner boxing is of Brazilian Cherry.

Interesting, but calling a 6" plane miniature is too much a stretch for me.

Saw this project on your blog Trevor and I look forward to seeing the next steps and when it's finished. You've prompted me to try and get the Whelan book too. Oh and you can call your plane whatever you like.

Yay! Jim you are one of the first persons I've met who's said "I read your blog", I'm happy that it gets around. I will agree with Jack that mini may be a stretch, but with the 3/8 OA width, light 1/8" wedge and the stem of the iron coming in at something like 3/32" wide, possibly having to make smaller floats to work the slots, it got mini pretty quick.
