I've been trying to customize X5, right now whenever I draw a shape it has a fill & I'd like it to have just the outline. It's not a major problem, I can always delete the fill, but would like to not have to do that xtra step each time. If someone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it, Thanks.

With nothing selected and your cursor in the shape of an arrow pointing up. Click on the fill tool and click on the black X on the right. A uniform fill dialog box will appear and you can select graphic and/or text that will be set with a default of no fill. Hope that helps.

Edit: At least that is how it is done on coral 11. I would assume it would be similar on x5.

After you do that if you have all the settings on the file where you want them go under the tools menu
and "Save as Default" then you won't have to change your settings each time.

Thank you thank you thank you. I've made the changes & locked the default setting. One less challenge today, exactly what I needed, lol.
