Is there a "wood dump" west of Minneapolis?

Does anyone know of a wood dump west of Minneapolis?

Specifically close to Minnetonka.

How about anywhere around Minneapolis?

I'm looking for a place that I can pick up some 3 foot logs.

Have you tried calling some tree removal companies? Try the little guys that advertise in neighborhood newsletters, church bulletins and such. At the least, I'd see it increasing your odds of getting trunk wood and not branch wood.

You Could try the River Falls Compost site, here in River Falls, WI. Last time I was down I saw some big logs. They will be bringing in the chipper soon, I believe. I will be going down this Friday and can give you an update. I'm about 40 miles from Minneapolis.
