The lasered dollar bills, yes, they are very nicely done, didn't see them in the first link you posted. It shows what can be done with stacked layers of cut parts. I do something like this in my work, but for different purposes.

Turns out a friend of mine is a customer of Scott Campbell, I've asked him to ask Scott about the Unibomber tatt.
