I think the lid should be a bit thinner and the bottom a bit fatter, like a real ginger jar. These should make nice presents, as they're pretty quick when you turn them green211298211299.

Approx. 5 1/2 x 3 1/4, shellac interior, shellac and WOP outside, buffed and waxed.

Nice Rich........I agree with your self critique on the lid and body.........still these are nice.........hope you don't get too much wood movement ..........the shellac should help some.
