Corel File Help

[Martin Boekers]

For some reason I am have issues with these 2 files.
File #1 needs to be filled with black

File #2 needs to be filled with white.


What am I doing wrong?

The nodes at the corners are not connected. Click on the figure, choose Shape command (or just double clink on it) and you will see TWO arrow heads at each corner. Zoom in on them and connect them - all fixed. Because the lines actually cross each other (at least in number 1), you also could use the Smart Fill tool and that can be faster than manually closing up the corners.

I used a join curves command in the "Arrange" drop down, but I guess that is not what it is for.

The curves are open somewhere and as the general setup for your page does not have the check box selected for "fill open curves" the fill paint tool is not filling your shape. If you make new circle/rectangle you will see that you can color fill that. The curve seems to be broken you have the two straight lines connect the two curved lines.

I just used 'close path' under 'arrange' and it worked.

I have X5 I don't have a close path under arrange, just a join curves.
