I picked one up a used one last year, put it in a drawer when I got home and re-discovered it again last night. :o

I took it apart and can't find any identifier on which model it is. Am I missing something?

Post a picture and we'll help you figure it out. I'm sure you will get multiple offers to identify it "if you send it to me for a couple of years":)

Hey, welcome Steven!

Howdy Steven and welcome to the Creek. Your profile doesn't show your location.

I see NC after some names. Does that stand for North Carolina? And why do only North Carolinians use that after their names.

One way you could identify your plane is to visit the Lee Valley web site and compare it to all the planes there.

This could cause plane envy and subsequent damage to one's bank account.

Send it to me. I will analyze it carefully.

Note: the charge for this service is one Veritas plane.

thanks, I'll try and get a pic of it tonight when I get home. Kinda curious why they don't list the number anywhere on em.

I added NC to my username instead of making myself Steven Lee #2 etc, hehe

I think only their Stanley sized bevel down bench planes are numbered. I don't think their block planes or bevel up series have any model # markings (I may be wrong though) since they don't really, correspond to the Stanley number system. Instead they have names like "low-angle block plane", "low-angle jack plane" or "bevel-up smoother", etc.... which would be a lot to write/cast into the plane body. IIRC most there planes just say "Veritas Canada" or something like that.

So I'm guessing you either have a block or a plane from their BU line (not that that narrows it down all that much).

Looks to be a Low Angle smoother. About the size of a Stanley/Bailey #4.
