Here are a couple of pepper grinders I turned yesterday and today. The first is Spalted Hackberry, the other is Mimosa wood. Bothe are finished with multiple of of shellac and lacquer. C&C are always welcome.

Nice grinders. The hackberry is my favorite. I've always wanted to make some of those. That's a good size and just right for salt or pepper. Where did you get your kit from?

I made some 8" grinders that were popular, but have never tried the 6" ones; might just have to give them a try now. Does the Salt grinder come in a 6" size?

I like the grain in the Mimosa, but, I favor the Hackberry for it's grain and design. What's the story with the top on the Mimosa? It looks off.

Donny, I get my kits from Crafts Supply. They seem to have the best prices for the grinders for the non-Crushgrind mills.

Bill, CSUSA carries sizes from 3 1/2" to 10". They carry all sizes of the salt mills. I'm sure you can get the mills at Cheft's Specialities, but I perfer dealing with CSUSA. As for the Mimoas, I thought the top looked off when I saw the photos, but it just wasn't set down all the way. Fits really does good.
