Corel x4 issue with invert command

I've had issues with X4 when trying to invert black and white vector art using the Effects/Transform/Invert command. Most of the time the artwork is fairly complicated, with several hundred objects grouped together. Essentially CD crashes without any explanation. Any suggestions on how to avoid this error without having to manually change the object's colors?

Are you just selectively inverting? If not convert the vector to a bit map first.

Will try to convert to bitmap, but ideally would like to keep it as vector art so I can size it. It works OK on smaller pieces of art, with fewer objects/nodes.

What I would do is save it as vector in a permanent file, import it in when needed size the convert.

I have some issues sometimes that if I rotate it some sections rotate others don't so this is what I do.
Corel is sometime quirky, a restart sometimes fixes things :)
