I hope it's all right to post this here. As you can see it has a bunch of turnings in it.It's for my ex-daughter in law. She wanted something unique and this is what i came up with. It's walnut, maple burl that i harvested from a tree that got blown down at work, and the HF is gum burl dyed blue then sanded down to what ya see. She loves it so that's good any way.:) thanks and as always C&C more than welcome.210980210981210982210983210984

Very cool HF and finial, but a bit hidden. An unusual design over all. Looks like alot of thought and work went into this table.

I'm liking that! And it fits here just fine IMHO. Looks like a turned table with some flatwork added!;)

wow, them maple burl inlays had to take some time and patients to cut out - looks great, the one on the top looks tight.
Looks like you also did inlays on the butterflies too, pretty cool.
Dye job on the hf came out great too.

That's incredible! I don't think I've ever seen a hollowform incorporated into the design of a table. It's a very cool idea and a most unique table. That's really something!

Steve, that is a winner in more ways than one!! Nice work on the turning, but the rest of the table is awesome!! I hope you posted this in the Projects forum, as well!

Steve, I am glad you added the tuning underneath the table for additional weight. The table itself looks light as a feather. Wouldn't want it to float away:D. I really like it.

Thanks all. It was something different for sure. Now my son wants me to make him something unique. I'll have to think on it for a bit,as i have a number of tea pots that have to be built. Been paid for 3 of them so i better get my butt in gear.
John i posted this over younder after reading your reply.

Excellent job Steve! Very imaginative and it looks great even without the turning.
