Right in the middle of a file the x axis on my universal pls stopped working. I tried to re start it and i even tried to reinstall the driver.
Anyone else every experience this?

I had this happen to my Epilog, had a nice deep "line" since it didn't index on the X axis. Had to buy a MOBO!

I have a TROTEC and this has happened to me twice.. 5 years apart.... In my case it was the 24vdc x-axis drive motor. The brushes were shot (gone) in the motor. Replaced and up and running.. Not sure about Universal.

First Check your belt, I've had that get loose before.

Second, I also had a problem were it wasn't communitcating properly. Universal Tech had me unplug and replug in ever connection from the the driver controller to the head. It did the trick. Some are hidden under covers, so make sure you follow the cable paths.
