Help installing Biesemeyer splitter in Grizzly 1023 TS

Greetings,

I recently got a Biesemeyer 78-961 splitter (meant for Delta Right Tilt) for my Grizzly 1023 (right tilt) table saw. I can't seem to figure out how to install this splitter. I removed the existing splitter fittings and there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to attach the biesemeyer splitter!

If any one has installed this combination, I'd appreciate any tips.

Do you have the instructions for the splitter? The instructions can be found on the biesemeyer home page.

I attached two pictures provided by Don Ewing of Biesemeyer. One picture shows the inside cabinet attachement of the splitter, the other picture shows the nut/bolt through the hole which was used by the stock blade guard. With the Bies splitter you will no longer be able to use the stock 1023 blade guard.

Hmm... I must be really missing something as I still can't seem to figure this out. There is no space for the splitter to fit on my saw (I've attached a few pictures to illustrate). I've put the blade back to show how little space I have. I'm no sure where the splitter attaches.

Do I need to somehow get rid of the triangular block? It seems to be part of the whole structure, not screwed on or something?

Remove the green part that the original blade guard bolts to. The Beisemeyer splitter bolts directly to the trunnion.

How is the green part attached to the trunnion? I don't see any visible means, it looks as if it's 'glued on' (for lack of a better word)!

Anil I have the 1023SL which is the left hand tilt saw, so these pictures will be just the opposite of yours but it should be the same type of setup.

I finally knocked the green part off with a hammer and a pice of wood! Now everything makes much more sense. I'm now able to attach the splitter to the trunnion.
