Folks -

I just completed doing the milling for 4 stickley type, QS-on-all-sides bed posts. For folks that have made these, do you fill the central hole at the same time as the leg glue up, or after? Doing it later would make glue-up less hectic, but I'm picturing being unable to slide the filler piece in due to a blob of glue somewhere in the middle, or having it get halfway in then seize up from the glue grabbing. The wood is red oak if that matters. Thanks for sharing your experiences -

After.
Only plug the ends. There's no need to plug the middle.
