Can someone tell me what I need to get, AC adapter wise, to charge my Trend Airshield?
I lost my AC Adapter, and don't know what voltage I need to plug into it.

Phil,

Do you have the original Trend Airshield?

If so, I will be happy to send you my charger if you will pay the shipping. I converted mine to rechargeable batteries that last longer and use a smart charger that won't over charge them.

PM me an address.

Let me know.

I am considering changing the batteries, and charger to a smart charger. HOw did you do that and where did you get the materials from? thanks Jared

Read my post in this thread http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?167103-batteries-for-trend-airshield

For about $70 I made enough batteries for 4 packs and have a smart charger to boot. They are a higher amp-hour battery and last longer between charges.

As I look in the online manual, it gives the specs for the charger, as follows:
Mains Voltage: 120v
No Load Output: 12VDC
Normal Output: 4.2V 30mA

Can someone decipher that for me? I have a switchable DC power supply that fits my helmet, but I don't know whether to switch it to 12 volts output, or 3 or 4 or 5 volts.... ??

Does anyone know what the connector needs to be? I can get a 4.2V 30mA supply, but need to know the size of the connector and if the positive is in the center.

Thanks
