I am wondering what people using these days? I'm looking at the nicholson files, the prices seem a bit steep.

For a good rasp, I don't find that price to be expensive.

I've been using Dragon rasps and find them excellent users. They also taper to a point, and have a flat and convex side. It's very versatile and maneuverable. Best of all, it removes a good amount of material with great control.

How good are the new Nicholson files compared the old ones?
I don't mind spending that much for a good file. But when its made in another country and if not the same.

Some have been critical of the Brazilian-made Nicholsons.
