I have a plane that I got some time back. I forget about it most of the time cause it sits on a shelf in my rec room. The other day I decided to look at more closely.

It is a wooden plan, maybe 18-20" long or so. The are no markings on the body itself, but on the steel is SANDUSKY TOOL CO WARRANTED CAST STEEL.

I'll try and take a pic, but was curious for you experts if you could tell me more. I did a quick google and coldn't find a pic, but manly references to early 1900 catalogs.

I'm pretty sure that Sandusky stamped the bodies of all of their planes and the stam was accompanied by a number (Referencing the model number). I think that you may have a plane made by a different maker that has a Sandusky iron. AKA Frankenplane. Sandusky planes are fairly common around here. I actually grew up one town over from Sandusky.

Thanks

I don't use it just like having it around. For the KC folks, I'll bring it with me to the breakfest.
