Silver Maple by the truck load

Just down the the sstreet from my home they are taking down a lagre silver maple. I picked up a few pcs today and maybe some more tomorrow.

Nice Rex. Must be some ambrosia I see in last pic especially, wow, looks loaded. I filled up my truck twice recently with some silver maple. Nice stuff to turn. I'd say you've got some beautiful wood there with what I see! Look forward to seeing something from this batch!

Rex, we will expect some great "show and tell" at future club meetings!! I have a pretty good stash of maple, but some of that darker Ambrosia is sweet looking wood - maybe we could work out a swap.

Love silver maple. So many variations in colour and grain and so easy to work with. Mahoney says it is one of his faves for functional bowls.
